Here's our next house project...laying ceramic tile in the back hallway. This hallway borders a wood floor, patio doors and kitchen tile. A high traffic area. Cutting the tile to fit around the heat duct was the most frustrating part of the project. After ruining 3 tiles I have decided to take a breather and think on it for a few days. The problem is that one side of the tile is thin after cutting out the vent and breaks off easily just as you are about done with cutting the tile. Any suggestions on how to manage this would be greatly appreciated. The Perma Base is heavy and difficult to carry and cut without a partner but by taking my time it worked out. #ceramictile #caroldenekas #caroldenekasauthor

With renewed energy this season, I decided to decorate the whole house. Still considering the outside lights as no one wants to go out in the freezing Iowa January cold and take them down....still debating.
