![]() Here is a photo of a Blue Pumpkin my friend Pat gave me. It's kind of light greenish blue and very lumpy. I was responding to a comment on a previous post about roasted pumpkin and squash seeds and thought I'd post this for all to see. The seeds will probably be the same as other squash but it just looks enough different to me that I imagine they may have a twist on the taste. This is a heritage vegetable and I bought seeds from Seed Savers in Decorah, Iowa to plant my own next year. If you haven't visited Seed Savers here is their website http://www.seedsavers.org. Happy Harvest to all! (For those of you still plugging away:)

AuthorI grew up and have lived in Iowa until recently when I moved to a small town in Illinois to begin a new chapter in my life which includes a loving supportive husband and numerous grandchildren to spoil. I have three beautiful daughters and a Miniature Schnauzer. I'm interested in anything that supports healthy families and healthy lifestyles. Archives
